Building Code – Zeeland High School
After reviewing other high school building codes, ZHS was recommended as the code for Zeeland High School; making it easily discernable from ZEHO for Zeeland Hospital.

PID3 – Capitalization Rules
The PID3 rules currently in LIVE were reviewed and discussed, including how these affect individual names, addresses, course titles, and vendors in various modules. Beda feels this is a training issue (using the “=” equal sign to override capitalization rules). It was also the consensus of the team to err on the side of fewer rules; avoiding potential repercussions across applications. Kelley asked if anyone knew of benchmarking on this issue to see if the delivered rules were revised (no one was aware of any research on this topic). Various scenarios were tried in PatchTest, concluding that once a rule is added to PID3, previously entered data does not change; only info entered after conforms to the rule. The only changes made to PID3 were additions to the ‘Next Letter Words’ list (canceling automatic capitalization of the letter after the Mac prefix): Machining, Machinery and Macomber. Team members can share the PID3 functionality with their depts. and bring any other suggestions to CORE for review.

Other:
Deceased Date on BIO – Jean Roberts questioned where the deceased ‘Status date’ is entered that is displayed as a grey field on BIO. The ‘Status’ can be changed to ‘Deceased’ on BIO, but the date field isn’t populated here. After some document and PatchTest research, it was discovered that there is a DEC-Deceasing form to use for changing this status. This data automatically filters to BIO.

Person/Address Mail Codes
On ADR Person Addresses screen and use MAIL. RULES Val codes, like: NM No Mail, BA Bad Address, NS No Solicitation, NW No Work Calls, GR Students Grade Report, ST Students Statement   The person code follows the person (as student, employee, etc.); address code follows the address (like No Mail at work address).

Jean Roberts had benchmarked this item and most use this field in some way, such as: blocking registration if Bad Address, mark bad address as Last Known, set “No Mail” flag.   However, these bad addresses (unknown, etc.) will be included in mailings/labels unless a rule is written to exclude them.
9/25 Kelley will follow up with Joan Jolman re: rules
