Time to Get Onboard…
Now that the Student Module of our new Colleague software system is live, the time has come for various campus employees to learn the “ins and outs” of the system.
Some of the first in line for training are the academic department secretaries and chairs, who will be taught by Lynne Wood of the Academic Affairs office. As a member of the FIT Student Academic Management team, Lynne has attended countless Colleague training and testing sessions and has now stepped up to the plate to make sure the academic departments will have access to all of the information they need.
Department secretaries will learn how to check student schedules, registration activity, section rosters, student location, section availability report, section prerequisite roster, student academic credits (inquiry only), academic credit, cumulative totals (inquiry only), faculty schedules, faculty office hours, and other information specific to their positions.
“Lynne’s input to the Colleague system has been critical,” says Jean Roberts, Director of Registration. “She knows firsthand the kind of information the academic departments need to function efficiently.”
The training session is currently scheduled for Tuesday, August 21st at 10:30 a.m. in room 1300. For more information, contact Lynne Wood at ext. 254.
