Human Resources Application Team
Minutes
August 23, 2006, Meeting
Present: Mary Smith (Team Lead), Dee Crews, Lori Haggerty, Aaron Hilliard, Jody Kuhn, Donna Warner.
Absent: Beda Dubois, Joan Jolman and Rosemary Zink.
Meeting began at 8:43 a.m.
1. Approval of 8/9/2006, HR Team Minutes. Lori moved, Donna seconded, to approve minutes. All agreed. Minutes then approved as presented.
Mary distributed copies of the Agenda. A copy is attached to these minutes. Mary said she would not be able
to attend the next meeting, August 30th. Other Team members had scheduled meetings as well. After a brief discussion, the Team agreed to cancel the August 30th meeting.
2. Benefit Update: Mary and Donna had worked previously on the benefit updates when the College went with ADP. Mary noted in the Section 125 that FICA and Medicare are tax exempt, so changes will be made on the Sample Group.
3. Addition of Action Items: Mary made changes on the AGENDA under New Action Items. See AGENDA for these additions. These items were discussed with Peggy Burns at the August on-site training.
4. Other Issues/Training/Assignments:
- Mary asked if everyone had received the email from Peggy Burns. Peggy requested changing the HR/Payroll Consulting-remote date scheduled for September 22 to another date. After discussion, Team decided to schedule consulting for our regular meeting date, September 27, pending the availability of Rosemary, Beda and Peggy.
- Need to spend time checking Employer amounts; added FICA and Medicare to benefits (pre-tax).
- Mary noted the need to work on a position-tree. She asked Aaron and Dee if they would work on this item, meet in the next week and report at our next meeting, September 6th. This position-tree will help as we assign positions on LIVE. The MCC organizational chart will be helpful.
5. Troubleshooting (continued): The Team continued working on the Sample Group comparing the figures on the payroll runs between ADP and Colleague, updating and making changes where needed.
Next meeting date: September 6, 2006, in Room 1300 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.
Meeting adjourned at 12:00noon.
