MCCDUG Muskegon Community College Datatel Users Group
Since September 2004,
Muskegon
Community College has been working hard on the FIT (Future Information Transformation) Project to replace our current Legacy system. After a year-long process, a contract was signed with Datatel on September 6, 2005. Datatel has been providing services for higher education for over 25 years. The FIT Project was a multi-phase, multi-year project that consisted of four phases:
With E-Advising, Faculty Assignment Contract, Fixed Assets, Physical Plants, Position Budgeting, Purchase Order Maintenance, Requisition Maintenance, Web Time Entry, Workflow, and Degree Audit-Student Services Module slated for implementation, the FIT Project has now dissolved into two groups: Muskegon Community College Datatel Administration Group (MCCDAG) and Muskegon Community College Datatel Users Group (MCCDUG). The FIT CORE Module, which primarily standardizes protocols and recommends codes to MCCDAG, will remain an ongoing Module.
MCCDAG meets the first Thursday of each month. The purpose of this group is to discuss, decide and vote on codes, policies and administration issues in dealing with Datatel Colleague System working with the MCC President’s Cabinet.
MCCDUG meets the third Thursday of each month. The purpose of this group is to review and address the ongoing daily operations of the Datatel Colleague System from an end users perspective. It will aid in the bridges between all modules.
Past FIT Module Meeting Minutes remain posted. Minutes from MCCDAG and MCCDUG meetings are posted as well. Please see links to the left.
